Having started out in the high-paced world of marketing and events, Hayley found yoga in her early 20s as an antidote to her work and to running, and quickly discovered how it calmed her mind and soothed her body. Not only did she become physically stronger and healthier, she found relief mentally from the stresses of life and work.
After falling deeply in love with the practice, she visited Rishikesh, India in 2016 and completed her 200hr yoga teacher training. She was lucky enough to then spend a year teaching in Morocco and Spain, before returning to London to balance her life with a mix of teaching and freelance marketing work. She still uses yoga and meditation as a way to maintain balance in her life, and turns to it if she needs a reset. Hayley continues to study and is always finding ways to improve her knowledge in all areas of yoga: from teaching and styles to anatomy and yoga philosophy. She recently completed 50hrs yin yoga training and is taking on further training in 2020.
Hayley’s classes have developed over the years (from Ashtanga and Power to vinyasa flow and yin), and her flow classes draw on these to open up the body and get you moving, mixed with a good, deep stretch. Her focus is on the individual and how yoga works best for each person, and breath features in all her classes. She loves to help people develop their own yoga practice, however that looks for them.
When she’s not teaching, you can normally find Hayley cycling around North East London, cooking and trying new foods, reading a good book or helping companies with all their marketing needs!
