Rianne Harper

Physiotherapist & Pilates

Rianne is a Physiotherapist with a wealth of experience treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions. Prior to Fix, Rianne spent six years specialising in the NHS as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, most recently at University College Hospital in their outpatient clinic. This ranged from managing patients with high level sports injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation to management of chronic pain and rheumatological conditions.

Since qualifying as a Physiotherapist in 2016 at York St John University, Rianne has also achieved her Level 3 mat Pilates Diploma, taping and acupuncture qualifications.

As a Pilates Instructor, Rianne teaches both 1:1 and group classes to assist strengthening the core, improving flexibility and posture.

As a physiotherapist, Rianne makes frequent use of treatment modalities such as trigger point and muscle energy release techniques, mobilisation/manipulation, acupuncture and taping. Rianne is a firm believer in therapist-led strength and conditioning of patients through evidenced based rehabilitation to reach their ultimate goals and beyond.

Rianne continues to strive to seek the most evidence-based practice by participating in regular CPD courses and events to further her skills. She is passionate about all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy frequently combining all skills to assist the client to improve their function and reduce pain.

Rianne often incorporates her pilates background to assist with the management of lower back pain. Her main specialist interest are rehabilitation of shoulders, elbow, knees and back conditions.

In her free time, Rianne enjoys staying active, playing Tennis, dance, running, weight training, hiking, and walking her dog. She is always up for a challenge and soon to complete the three peak challenge, hiking three of the tallest mountains in the United Kingdom.
