Led by Bryony Hughes, this 3 hour afternoon workshop is designed for all the runners who have ever wondered about the benefits of a yoga practice.
Through a discussion of the anatomy of running, we will explore how yoga can help you develop the strength and flexibility to run more efficiently and minimise your risk of injury.
By the end of the workshop, you will have three simple yoga sequences you can use for post-run stretching, core strength training, and recovery from longer runs. Suitable for total beginners to yoga and for all levels of runner.
The workshop will run on the same afternoon as Fix hosts its RUNZEN - Mindfulness for Runners foundation module. The Yoga work shop is £30 for 3 hours. Or people can attend the whole day for a reduced rate of £50.
Teacher: Bryony is a yoga teacher at Fix Studio. She is a medical doctor by background and is currently training in yoga therapy with the Minded Institute. She uses her understanding of anatomy and physiology to inform her yoga teaching and is passionate about making the therapeutic benefits of yoga accessible to everyone.
