Carol is a qualified Counsellor who offers a confidential and safe space in which you can talk about, and explore areas of difficulty in your life. This could be a present issue, such as a relationship breakdown, a bereavement or longer underlying problems such as anxiety, depression or low mood. Counselling can also be helpful where there is a need to make changes on a professional level and the solutions and options seem hard to find. Carol has helped people with a wide range of issues which include post traumatic stress, eating disorders, self harm, abuse, addictions and many others.
Her empathic, non judgemental and sensitive way of working will help you gain understanding, create solutions and find strategies to progress more effectively. She uses an integrative approach which tailors the therapy to suit your individual need, with a grounding in the psychodynamic (an understanding that childhood experiences greatly affect emotions and behaviours as adults). Carol works with adults, young adults and children and can also work with parents and their children.
She gained her Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling in 2015 and Postgraduate Certificate in Adult Counselling in 2012 and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
She is a keen recreational swimmer and walker who loves to be outside enjoying nature. She enjoys yoga and meditation as her ways of relaxing and believes in a holistic approach to maintaining physical and mental wellbeing.
