Michelle Lee

PhYSIOTHERAPIST / Pilates Instructor

Michelle hails from Canada where she graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy. She also attended Queen's University (Canada) where she received a Bachelor of Science Honours with a subject of specialisation in Life Sciences.

Through her extensive continuing education, Michelle achieved her certificate in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy Levels 1,2 and 3 and practices acupuncture as a Certified Medical Acupuncture Graduate from McMaster University's Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program in Canada. While living in the Netherlands, she completed her Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training and various Stott Pilates Rehabilitation workshops.

Michelle’s passion lies in helping individuals regain and pursue an active and healthy lifestyle.

She has extensive expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, where she incorporates a blend of approaches into her practice, ensuring the patient is an active participant in their care.  Michelle utilizes manual and manipulative therapy, Pilates/core stability training, functional strength training, and acupuncture to provide effective, evidenced-based therapy.

She has worked primarily in the private sector, and has experience working with athletes, pre/post-natal woman, geriatrics, pediatrics, and pre/post-operative patients.

Michelle has also volunteered her time in the physiotherapy world, assisting as a Clinical Instructor for the MScPT program at her alma mater and mentoring students at the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam. She was also a volunteer physiotherapist, both on and off the field, for the AAC-Rugby teams in Amsterdam.

When not at FIX, you can find her on her mat or a reformer practicing Pilates or enjoying the green spaces her new hometown of London has to offer. She is also an avid traveler and takes every opportunity she can get to experience a new country and culture.
