No, a doctor’s referral letter is not required for treatment. However, some private medical insurance companies may specify that you require one for reimbursement.

An initial Physiotherapy and Osteopathy assessment is up to 55 minutes. Follow up appointments can be up to 30 , 45 or 60 minutes, depending on what is needed.

Massage therapy treatments are 30, 60 or 90 minutes.

Acupuncture appointments are 45 or 60 minutes.

For Physiotherapy and Osteopathy: please bring suitable clothing for an assessment and treatment. If you have a neck or back problem it may be necessary to remove your top or wear a vest. If you have a lower limb issue shorts would be most suitable.

If you have had any scans, x-rays, letters or investigations related to your condition please bring them together with any medical reports.

Fix East Village accept BUPA members for Physiotherapy. Please let us know your Membership Number and Pre-Authorisation code when booking.

Osteopath Laura Maidment accepts Bupa patients.

For any other insurance provider, you would need to check with them if they are able to reimburse you directly. You would pay for your appointment privately and claim back from your insurance. We can provide an invoice after treatment to help you claim.
